| | Education: | B.Sc. - Loughborough University, UK, Analytical Science 1988 Ph.D. - University of Massachusetts, Analytical Chemistry, 1994 | Teaching Dr. Chalk teaches Modern Analytical Chemistry, Quantitative Analytical Chemistry, Senior Seminar, Structure Elucidation, General Chemistry I, and Chemical Informatics. For Fall 2008 Dr. Chalk is teaching CHM2045C General Chemistry I, CHM3120C Quantitative Analytical Chemistry and CHM4130C Modern Analytical Chemistry. Research Interests Dr. Chalks research is focused on the following areas in analytical chemistry: - Design and production of remote analytical instrumentation based on FIA (DoD funded)
- Development of the continuously variable volume reactor for FIA
- XML, Markup Languages for chemistry
